Acrobats Floor

Acrobats Floor

“It is not in the stars to hold our destiny, but in ourselves” William Shakespeare.

As children move to our Acrobats Floor, they start gaining their independence. With ongoing support and positive reinforcement children will progress through many stages. Daily sleeps will eventually come to an end and they will be engrossed in exploring all available options and activities on offer throughout their day.

Children will be encouraged to develop their social skills, eat with a knife and fork at meal times and drink from cups. Individual target setting will help children achieve small personal goals such as putting on their own coats and shoes, hanging up their own bags and looking after their possessions, helping to develop confidence and encourage independence.

Acrobats floor boasts three large rooms to explore.

The big room hosts a wonderful role-play area and home corner encouraging children to use and develop their imagination. There is a construction area, a cosy book corner, and the large space enables us to explore and participate in music and dance.

The Creative room is well stocked with a variety of materials enabling the children to independently choose resources to assist their messy play. This room also serves as the dining area where the children develop their social and fine motor skills.

The Little room is equipped to promote learning through small circle time and focused mark making activities. It has a variety of equipment to enable more in-depth learning focusing on the three characteristics of effective early learning.
The Sensory room is also on this floor, for all ages to participate and benefit.
